The department of Home Science was established in June, 2000.Department deals with Home- Science as a optional subject for the students of B.A.I,II,III year. Home Science includes, Food and Nutrition, Human Development, Textile and Clothing, Home Management and Extension Education as a major  subjects. In 2017 Child Guidance and Nutritional Counseling Centre started in department of Home Science to serve knowledge to society.

Aims  and objectives of  department

*To create awareness about home science in the students.

* To understand  and gain knowledge about the various aspects of human development.

*To get in touch with various aspects regarding textile and clothing.

*Acquire information regarding the subject home management.

*To make the students aware of food and nutrition

*To develop enterprise development among students.

*To serve the society, the knowledge and information about home science

*Empower rural women and girls through home science

*To run UBA activities in adopted villages under UBA

*To run child  Guidance and Nutrition counseling center effectively  in Home -Science

*Extension Work-

The department of Home Science is actively  involved in extension work, every year  department organize various workshops for women and girl in this area also involved in  extension work through NSS camp, information regarding food and Nutrition

*Department  of Home- Science established Child Guidance  and Nutritional Counseling     Center from 25 th February 2017 to uptill.
